Monastery on a Cliff
This spatula is carved from hard maple and finished in Danish oil. Though my first asymmetrical carving, it was a blast to experiment carving a piece to fit the hand, task, and aesthetic.
The design was inspired by following the beautiful grain pattern of the blank.
The spatula was gifted to my brother and sister-in-law.
