Monastery on a Cliff
This piece was inspired by early human cave paintings. This painting is a landscape on a 4×8″ beam using only the ash from cigarette butts.
I liked the idea of creating something good from something considered destructive (smoking cigarettes).

- a snow covered lake

- aurora borealis (northern lights)
- a waterfall
- snow-capped mountains
- the beginning of a river delta
- boulders
- a barn
- hay bales
